Betreff: Fwd: Noise Pollution- IGI Aiport 3rd Runway- Fudging of DATA

Dear All,

The documents and PPT clearly establish existence of unholly nexus between Babus and the  Pvt Players that has played havoc with the Residents of Vasant Kunj, Mahipalpur, Andheria More, Dwarka and Smalkha and similar other villages around IGI.

May I request you to please forward the trailing mail to the PM who is holding charge of MOEF also with your own comments . Let us fill PM’s mail box with our objections ans highlight the fact of corruption and inaction by the Babus and Politicians.

Looking for your positive support.

Regards

I am forwarding as attachment to this mail the MOEF Clearance that was conditional based on DATA provided by GMR. Strangly the RTI reply dated 16th December 2008 stipulates that the condition of Public Hearing was waived in view of Due Dilligence Report whereas Para (XV) of the Clearance under Reference No. 10-10/2006-IOA-lll, GOI, MOEF- (IA-ll) Section, dated 17th January 2007 imposes a condition on GMR to advertise in two local news papers communicating the fact of grant of approval to the region around the project.

No action was taken by GMR in this regard and the MOEF blissfully slept over the issue.

The presentation establishes the fact that GMR has fudged the DATA for seeking clearance and the actions that were to be taken prior to commencement of operations, are now being proposed. It further stregthens our doubt that there is some thing more to this than what is available in Public Domain.

Our government cannot permit any one to enrich themselves at the cost of health of its Citizens as postulated uunder Article 51(A)(g) of the Constitution of India

The use of Runway No. 3 for take off is in favour of GMR in view opf financial viability and operational efficiency and GMR is not obliging us by using this runway for take off.

This is something very serious and Government should Act as “Polluter to Pay principle” has been upheld by the Apex Court.

Could you please look into this as no communication has been received by us except one reply under RTI from the office of DGCA that the matter was discussed in a meeting at DIAL along with Stake holders to address the issue without inviting us who are not only stake holders but also the community around airport. Such a gesture would have definetly encouraged the Community participation.
